Actually, during this time ISRO is going to start a new mission in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration i.e. NASA.
ISRO preparing for new mission with NASA
In fact, under this mission, America’s space agency NASA is going to send two scientists of ISRO into space. ISRO has informed that the training of two astronauts of India for this mission is going to start at NASA’s Johnson Space Center located in Texas, America.
Let us tell you that for this mission, a deal was made between India and America last year i.e. in June 2023, when the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi He had visited America. During that US visit, US President Joe Biden had asked PM Modi to send an Indian astronaut to the International Space Station i.e. ISS.
This will be a joint mission of India’s ISRO and America’s NASA. In this mission, one of the two Indian astronauts who have received training at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Moscow, the capital of Russia, will go to the International Space Station under this common mission of ISRO and NASA. For this, both these Indian astronauts will be trained at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
Mission expected to launch in October 2024
According to a report in the Times of India, the training of Indian astronauts is going to start in August at NASA’s training center and this mission can be launched in October 2024. Former ISRO chairman K. Sivan says that this mission will be very important for new technology as well as India’s Gaganyaan program.
The Gaganyaan mission, organized by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), is India’s first human space travel mission. Under this mission, a three-member crew of India will be sent to space for three days. The objective of this mission is to increase India’s space transportation capability. According to this, under the Gaganyaan mission, a spacecraft will be built that can carry some astronauts and stay in space for about a week and then return safely to Earth.
